Products & variants¶
Add a product¶
Products → Add product. The essentials:
- Name and description — what you're selling.
- Price — entered in your store currency; Budhil stores money exactly (no rounding surprises).
- Compare-at price (optional) — show a strikethrough "was" price; the card automatically gets a Sale badge.
- Photo — upload a clear image. Square-ish shots look best in the grid.
- Category / vendor (optional) — used for collections and filtering.
Variants (size, colour, etc.)¶
If a product comes in options, add variants. Each variant has its own price and stock, and can have its own image.
- Price and stock live on the variant; a simple product without variants uses the product-level price.
- On the storefront, products with variants show "from" pricing and a Choose options button. If a variant has its own photo, it appears as a swatch on the product card — shoppers can preview colours without opening the product.
Badges¶
Add a short badge (e.g. New, Vegan, Bestseller, max 24 characters) to make a product stand out. It stacks with the automatic Sale and Sold out badges on the card.
Inventory¶
- Turn on Track inventory to count stock. When it hits zero the product shows Sold out and can't be bought.
- Turn on Allow backorder to keep selling past zero.
Ratings & reviews¶
When customers leave reviews, an aggregate star rating appears on the product card automatically. You can hide ratings (or swatches, or the add-to-cart button) per product grid in the Storefront editor.
