Acceptable Use Policy¶
Effective date: [DATE] · Last updated: [DATE]
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses Budhil. Its goal is simple: keep the platform safe, legal, and trustworthy for every merchant and shopper.
You may not use Budhil to¶
- Sell or promote anything illegal where you or your customers are located.
- Sell prohibited or heavily-regulated goods without the required licences — for example weapons, illegal drugs, or other regulated items. (Replace with your own permitted/prohibited category list.)
- Infringe intellectual property — counterfeits, pirated goods, or others' trademarks/copyright.
- Engage in fraud, deception, or money laundering, or facilitate payments unrelated to a genuine sale.
- Distribute malware, phishing, or content that harms users or systems.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or email people who haven't opted in.
- Publish content that is hateful, harassing, exploitative, or sexually exploitative of minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities).
- Violate others' privacy or unlawfully collect or share personal data.
- Attempt to breach, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service, other stores, or its infrastructure, or circumvent security or usage limits.
- Resell or relabel the Service as your own except as we expressly permit.
Payments¶
You must use payments only for genuine sales by your own business, comply with Stripe's rules, and not process payments on behalf of third parties.
Enforcement¶
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach this AUP — immediately where there's risk of harm, illegality, or exposure to other users. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.
