Custom domain

Your store starts at your-store.budhil.com. To use your own domain (e.g. yourbrand.com), connect it in Domains.

Steps

1. Buy a domain from any registrar (Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains, etc.) if you don't have one.
2. In Budhil, open Domains and add your domain.
3. At your registrar's DNS settings, add the records Budhil shows you:
   • An A record (or CNAME) pointing your domain at Budhil, as instructed on the Domains page.
   • For a www subdomain, a CNAME to your store.
4. Save. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to propagate.
5. Once propagation completes, Budhil serves your store on your domain over HTTPS automatically.

Apex vs www

Decide whether your primary address is yourbrand.com (apex) or www.yourbrand.com. Set up both, and your store will resolve either way.

Verify it worked

• Visit https://yourbrand.com — you should see your store with a valid padlock (HTTPS).
• If you see a "store not found" page, the domain isn't connected in Domains yet, or DNS hasn't propagated — re-check the records and wait.

Common issues

• No padlock / certificate warning — give it time after DNS resolves; the certificate is issued automatically once the domain points correctly.
• Old site still showing — your browser or DNS may be cached; try a private window or wait for the TTL to expire.
